When I’m on location or editing afterwards, I often find myself searching for the one word to describe a wedding day. “Glamor.” “Community.” “Faith.” Katie and Blake’s word was obvious: love. Not only the beautiful but expected love between bride and groom, but the love they feel for their family, heritage, land, and friends— this day was all about love of all kinds. The whole day took place on Katie’s family farm that she grew up on and her family prior to her grew up on, and several members were even born there! The gift she gave Blake incorporated his beloved late grandfather, friends and family scoured vintage markets to find the tablescape pieces (wait until you see them!). The day was such a beautiful ocean of love: Katie and Blake sent love out to their family and friends and just like a returning tide, they sent that love right back.
