Brodi is finishing up his senior year at Turner Ashby High School this year. This guy is into everything and always busy- when he’s not at football practice or a game, he’s in the woods hunting or fishing. Brodi gave up a Saturday of hunting to spend getting some senior photos. I’m so glad he spared a day in the woods for this, he’s such a handsome guy and it was a honor to document him at this special time in his life. Brodi, all the best to you as you finish up school! Hope your year ends well and congratulations to all the special things ahead of you!!

I could tell this handsome guy was just hoping something might walk by and perk up his missed day of hunting!

This one time my husband actually had a “prop” I could use for photography. I showed up to Glendas and was all look, look at my fabulous cube-man-hunting-device-I-have for photos.

Then I was all like “OMGEEEEEEE WOW Oh my goodness!!! Do you have a girlfriend ?! If so she’s going to go nuts!!!! If not the ladies are gonna be drooling!!!” I get really loud and excited sometimes…

I’m lucky enough to call Brodi’s mom my friend. Glenda is an amazing woman and she and her sweet husband, AJ, have raised some wonderful kids!! They’re a close knit family and I love that.

My favorite thing: “Yeah I’m having senior pictures done, but the photographer is coming to me.”

Darn right! I love outdoor photography. There is so much more to offer than a traditional studio!! Brodi has pictures doing what he likes, where he does it. How gorgeous is Mossy Creek?

Then we went to TA for some more yummy light and photos.

Then we got this for the yearbook/traditional senior shot.. and I got all squeally and excited and WOA THERE MISTER again! Sharp looking man you’ve raised there Mom and Dad!

I got all creative and such in photoshop… and suddenly why I made him stand in a boring doorway made sense.

It was so easy taking this guys photos!! I got spoiled by two senior shoots back to back then when I had my next child shoot it was like wait, slow down, hey little one don’t move for 1 second, okay .5 seconds.
